Coming out of the pitfalls of Covid women everywhere have been pining to incorporate comfort into their everyday look. I know firsthand the pain of transitioning from binging Netflix in oversized sweats to dusting off the old denim stretches. Luckily you are not alone in this transition. From the perils of this pandemic, a saga of comfortable and classy trends have erupted to ease the pain.
While this is not to say that you should continue to rock that 5-year-old oversized t-shirt with an origin story for each tiny hole, there is no need to fret. With the rise in at-home workouts during the pandemic, popular retailers such as Free People and Zara have capitalized on the workout set trend; making unique sets for the everyday look. Because let’s get real sometimes you want to look like you hit the gym without the gym hitting you back. I’m here to prove that these sets can be showcased outside of the Starbucks check-out line. Now you can go from your couch to the gym to a business meeting in a breeze but maybe throw in a shower in-between. After all, deodorant may be the one field untouchable by covid
Athleisure chic is all the rage right now and according to trend predictions they are going to be here for a while. People don’t want to go back to the ways of uncomfortable clothing now that they have climbed the mountains of comfort.
~the Boyfriend blazer~
A fan favorite workout set trend that has emerged from the trenches of covid is the boyfriend blazer paired with a monotone workout set and oversized blazer as a statement piece. While this was a useful tool during the era of endless zoom meetings, it doesn't need to be banished to the bedroom. This is the perfect look for a business girl on the go and can class up any look with the simple addition of your favorite purse and even a cute baseball hat. You can even layer this look with a simple sweatshirt to bundle up for the winter.

~the Bomber~
The bomber jacket is a personal favorite layering piece of mine. I know no matter what outfit Im wearing a cute bomber jacket that falls right at the waistline can add figure and flavor to any outfit. So during these times of changing trends, of course, the bomber has continued as a light at the end of the tunnel. Pair these jackets with a contrasting workout set and some chunky retro dad shoes and you have yourself the perfect look to be ~seen~.
~hot or homeless~
I know what you’re thinking. Maybe the workout set wasn’t your go to look during the pandemic. I too reveled in a sweatpants sweatshirt combinations, with a slight attempt not to look homeless in public. Celebrities like J-Lo have definitely slept on that the monochromatic trend.

This doesn’t mean that you have to trade out your Hanes for some Juicy Couture. Pair your neutral sweats with a matching sweatshirt for the perfect on the look on the go. Spice it up with a gold necklace and your favorite white shoes and you're ready to go.

Now as much as I would like to give away every secret in the book, I can’t give away everything in this one blog post so you’ll have to keep reading.
XX,
Maddie
